A Prayer for All Beings

Hello Bright Light. I hope this finds you and yours well in all ways.

You may have noticed that we’ve been absent from sharing here for over three months. We recently moved and have been trying to get settled into our new home. Much has been unfolding behind the scenes, including heaps of healing in our Fur Tribe, finding an editor for Beaux’s book trilogy, Conscious Kids workshops, and much more. When I have more time to share what’s been unfolding, you’ll receive the full scoop! 😉

For now, this will be a quick empowering post.

Considering the current state of the nation and our world at large lately, I Am Guided to share something beautiful with you. May this uplift, inspire, and light up your world, so that you may share your Light with All who need it now and forever.

Below is a prayer from a Bodhisattva — a being uninterested in his/her liberation alone, who strives for the well-being of all living creatures:

May I be a guard for those who need protection

A guide for those on the path

A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood

May I be a lamp in the darkness

A resting place for the weary

A healing medicine for all who are sick

A vase of plenty, a tree of miracles

And for the boundless multitudes of living beings

May I bring sustenance and awakening

Enduring like the earth and sky

Until all beings are freed from sorrow

And all are awakened.

— Shantideva

Read that again, but this time out loud. Really feel it in your heart.
This powerful prayer is a proclamation. This is what it means to be In Service to All. – To be in service to every brother and sister of every color and creed; to every being who walks, crawls, flies, or swims in the sea.

We Are One.

I was so inspired by that powerful prayer, I created this video for the hearts who are here to be of Service to every being in need.

Let your voice be heard. Be the Light in the darkness. Let Love Lead.
Create the change you want to see by BECOMING the change.
Uplift yourself in every moment so you may uplift others.
Be Kind. Be Love. Be a friend to strangers.
We are all in this together, beloveds.
We Are One.

Nature’s Last Party of the Year

Autumn Animals fall quote

Sept. 22, 2014

Astronomical Autumn officially begins tonight.  Simply put, fall has arrived!

The weather here has turned delightfully brisk overnight.  The sun is shining down without a cloud in the sky, and the air is crisp; carrying scents of the season in the breeze.  The animals in our home are feeling frisky and full of energy, as they welcome the cooler weather.

As I watch the animals run, chase, and pounce around the house, I am reminded to welcome the changing season with them.  I am guided to be outdoors, to stand in the breeze, to watch the leaves fall, and to let the sun warm my face.  I am reminded to enjoy this season’s fleeting moments with the animals I love.

May the changing of seasons inspire you to get moving with your animal family members, and to enjoy the sights, sounds, and scents that Autumn has to offer us all.

Autumn is Nature’s last party of the year.  And dressing for the occasion, forests don their brightest attire, while the creatures follow suit with plush coats of fur.  As the birds savor their final flights in the waning embers of light, Nature’s children scamper about in search of manna for their winter pantries, pausing long enough to frolic in the heaps of newly fallen leaves.

Of Wolves and Women

wolf and woman artwork

I came across a poem today. The words and images moved me to tears, each time I watched this video. May it touch your soul as well.

Video excerpt from Living with Wolves and Wolves at our Door

wolf and woman

“A healthy woman is much like a wolf – strong life force, life-giving, territorially aware, intuitive and loyal. Yet separation from her wildish nature causes a woman to become meager, anxious, and fearful.

With the wild nature as ally and teacher, we see not through two eyes only, but through the many eyes of intuition. With intuition we are like the starry night, we gaze at the world through a thousand eyes. The wild nature carries the medicine for all things.

She carries stories, dreams, words and songs. She carries everything a woman needs to be and know. She is the essence of the female soul.

It does not mean to lose one’s primary socializations. It means quite the opposite. The wild nature has a vast integrity to it. It means to establish territory, to find one’s pack, to be in one’s body with certainty and pride, to speak and act in one’s behalf, to be alert, and to find what one belongs to. It means to rise with dignity, to proceed as a powerful being who is friendly but never tame.

The Wild Woman is the one who thunders in the face of injustice. She is the one who keeps a woman going when she thinks she’s done for.

She is intuition, far-seer, deep listener, and she is loyal heart. She thrives on fresh site, and self-integrity.

Where can you find her? She walks in the deserts, cities, woods, oceans, and in the mountain of solitude. She lives in women everywhere; in castles with queens, in the boardrooms, in the penthouse, and on the night bus to Brownsville.

Whether you are possessed of a simple heart or the ambitious, whether you are trying to make it to the top or just make it through tomorrow, the wild nature belongs to you.

She lives in a faraway place that breaks through to our world. She lives in the past and is summoned by us. She is in the present. She is in the future and walks backward in time to find us now.

Without us, Wild Woman dies. Without Wild Woman, we die. Para Vida, for true life, both must live.”
